Salisbury Cathedral
I was invited to propose two large scale installations for the 2016 exhibition Reflections. It was an ambitious project to produce two very different interventions in such a vast space. The first installation Devotion was installed in the Morning Chapel. It consisted of 81 solid sculpted glass bottles arranged on steel stands inspired by votive candle stands in the cathedral. Each stand had integrated LED lighting. A smaller version of this piece was later exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery for the COLLECT exhibition in 2017. Similar works can be found on the Taxonomy page of the Portfolio.

The second installation, Sailed On A River Crystal Light Into A Sea Of Dew was exhibited in the South Trancept. This piece comprised of 81 multi coloured solid glass drops with 35 clear glass puddles arranged on a 10 metre long floating surface. The underground water that runs underneath the cathedral and the rich colours of the stained glass windows inspired this ambitious composition.
